Austin, known on stage as “Backbeat Bender,” grew up surrounded by music. With parents who kept the house filled with sound, rhythm was part of everyday life. He first picked up a guitar, but around age 12 he moved behind the drum kit — and never looked back.

His influences span precision, groove, and energy. From the technical brilliance of Rush to the tight musicianship of Dire Straits and The Police, and the punchy drive of Blink-182 and Sum 41, Austin blends discipline with feel. His playing balances structure and soul — solid, steady, and always serving the song.
