Music found Fredrick early. At just six years old, he remembers hearing the ceremonial drums on the island and feeling something shift inside him. It wasn’t just the melody — it was the emotion, the energy, the way music could connect people through time and distance. From that moment on, music wasn’t just something he listened to — it became part of who he was.  His influences stretch wide and deep. From the raw soul of Muddy Waters to the timeless brilliance of Mozart, from the vulnerability of Amy Winehouse to the edge of Green Day and the roaring bebop of Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk, Fredrick draws inspiration from every corner of the musical spectrum. Blues, rock, classical, and soul all live in his bones.

 

For Fredrick, being part of GSB is about more than performing. It’s family. It’s a collective of different personalities and backgrounds united by passion, purpose, and the belief that music can move people. Every rehearsal, every stage, every note is about connection — with each other and with the audience.
